COURSE PRESENTERS

Our trainers are all highly qualified in their field and are constantly updating their skills. Consequently they have all studied for and passed the Vocational Training Certificate (VTC) for the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor and currently act as DGSA Consultants for a number of companies.

Yvonne McCarthy MIEx(Grad), DGSA. (road), Certificate of Management (Open)

is responsible for the training side of the Company and is continuously monitoring courses to ensure a high quality. Yvonne has many years of experience co-ordinating an Export Sales Department. She has lectured at Clarendon College, Nottingham, on the courses for the professional examinations of the Institute of Export. Yvonne’s specialist knowledge is on Hazardous Goods Procedures and she has attained the IATA qualification for the processing of hazardous goods by air. Yvonne also holds the City & Guilds Preparing to Teach in the Life-Long Learning Sector and attained the BTEC Intermediate Award in Customs Procedures. Also an Associate Member of the Institute of Learning.

David Phipps B. Ed (Honours), Vocational Training.

A Fellow of the Institute of Freight Professionals and Member of the Institute of Export, David established his Business in 1995 having achieved outstanding career success at Senior Management level within diverse, and Customer focused, UK and Japanese companies. Using his comprehensive International Business Management experience, and an Honours Degree in Vocational Training, David now specialises in helping SMEs\' and large Multi-National Companies deal with the practical issues involved in trading internationally. In addition to delivering the Company’s range of Import & Export Training Courses at various locations throughout the UK David has also lectured on International Trade matters at various Universities and Colleges. David’s particular specialist subjects are Customs & Excise Procedures and working with Letters of Credit and he has lectured at Swansea University on Courses involving the professional examinations of the Institute of Export.

Sheila M Lunn Hon MIEx(Grad)

Sheila formed SRL Associates in 1984 and, although now semi-retired, still maintains an active interest in the company. Sheila is always happy to hear from delegates and to assist with any queries.

Andy Garside Cert Ed., DGSA (road)

Andy joined our growing band of DGSA's in 2007 and is actively involved in the DGSA Consultancy. He has been involved in training since 1988 and holds a FE Teachers certificate after developing and running many training programmes at all levels. Andy presents our Hazardous Goods & Waste Management courses. He has also attained the IATA qualification for the processing of hazardous goods by air and more recently attained the NEBOSH qualification.
